Sa Bassa Blanca Museum - Fundación Yannick y Ben Jakober
Every day
Set in a beautiful landscape, the private cultural foundation Jakober was created in 1993 by the British artist couple Ben Jakober and Yannick Vu. The main houses the Karlweis Wing, where the largest collection in the world of paintings, sculptures and drawings by Domenico Gnoli are on show. There are also works by Fabrizio Plessi, Alan Rath, Miralda, Meret Oppenheim, Takis and Ben Jakober, Yannick Vu. The exhibition "Nins" offers not only interesting aspects of the art of the portrait painting from the 16th to the 19th century, it also shows the world of the children from the different periods. The Sokrates hall aims to become a space for reflection featuring tribal masks in dialogue with contemporary works by Dolores Vita and M.Barceló amongst others. At Sa Bassa Blanca Museum, Finca Sa Bassa Blanca, Es Mal Pas, Alcudia. Times: Closed on Sundays, Mondays and public holidays. Tuesdays are open days with no entry fee for Nins and the Sculpture Park. CCA Andratx

Located on the southside of the Tramontana Mountains only 30 minutes from Palma, the CCA Andratx art centre is dedicated to the creation and exhibition of contemporary art. To the general public it offers a unique cultural experience, whereas the studio program is open to national and international artists. This museum organises 3–4 international exhibitions per year, showing challenging artistic projects and experiments in a wide range of media. Location: CCA Andratx, calle Estanyera 2. CaixaForum

Built at the beginning of the 20th century by the great Catalan architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner, the four-story building's sculpted facade is the best example of modernism on the island. Today the home of the CaixaForum Palma, the building's interiors have been restored to house a contemporary art library, changing exhibitions and a collection of works by local painter Anglada Camarasa. Palau March Museum

Within the historical centre of Palma de Mallorca, you will discover the Palau March Museum, right beside the Cathedral and Almudaina Palace. The Museum exhibits exceptional contemporary collections, containing sculptures by Rodin, Chillida and Henry Moore among others, an 18th Century NeapolitanNativity Scene, one of the latest wall murals by Josep Maria Sert. As well as Salvador Dali's remarkable Collection of lithographs: Alchemy and Eternity. Bibliophilyand Art: Bartolomé March Foundation's treasures and books from the 12th & 16th centuries. The Palace has also a room showcasing a unique Majorcan Cartography collection. All this is integrated within the exceptional design of March Palace, built in 1945.
