The Natural Park is situated in area that lies between southern Ibiza and northern Formentera, the natural park also includes the sea channel that separates both islands. Set in a beautiful landscape, the private cultural foundation Jakober was created in 1993 by the British artist couple Ben Jakober and Yannick Vu. The church of Santa Maria was built in the XVIIIth century over the foundations of a XIIIth century Gothic Church. The inside designed by the Italian artist Giuseppe Chiesa is Neogothic in style and boasts an organ of great instrumental and artistic quality, built by the Swiss Joan Kyburz and adorned by the Maó sculpture Francesc Comas. Fort Malborough was built by the British in the late 18th century and was named after Sir John Churchill, the Duke of Malborough.
