The General System
Applications for recognition must be sent to the competent authority in Spain for the regulated profession you wish to practise there.
SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS

Contact the competent authority for a full list of the documents required. As an indication, you may well be expected to provide the following:

  • a document proving that you have the nationality of a Member State;
  • your diplomas and qualifications;
  • and a certificate attesting to the length and content of your training.

Moreover, if the profession is not regulated in the Member State in which you qualified, you will also have to provide proof that you have practised for at least two of the previous ten years. Lastly, in case of doubt, you may be required to produce a certificate from the authorities in your Member State of origin proving that you are qualified to practise the profession there.

You will be required to produce original documents (together with a copy) or copies certified by a Spanish consular authority or any competent authority in your country. You will have to provide an authenticated Spanish translation of those documents.
